What We Do...

In essence, our name says it all.

We dedicate our time and effort to rescuing & re-homing Great Dane Dogs. We also are available to give advice on the breed. We've been running as a registered charity since 2000 but have been doing this since the early 90's and have no intention of giving it up..! Not just yet anyway!!

In 2008 we re-homed 39 dogs from the re-homing centre and 7 for breeders who have had their dogs returned to them. During 2008 we updated our policy so that all adult dogs are now neutered, wherever possible, before being re-homed and all potential new owners are vetted to include regular home visits.

Last but not least we would like to say a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to everybody who has re-homed a Great Dane from us or who has given us donations to keep the charity running. A huge thank you also to all the friends of Great Dane Care who remember & help us year after year.

The Great Dane Care 2010 calendars are now ready.

The calendar is 21 cm x 30 cm with wire binder & hanger and has a high-gloss finish. It contains 12 fantastic full colour photographs of beautiful rescued Great Danes with plenty of room to write special dates, birthdays and anniversaries on the calendar grid. All photographs are of dogs who have been through Great Dane Care.

For a donation of more than £9:00, the calendars are available directly from us, either at the rescue centre or at dog shows. By post, the calendars are available for a donation of more than £10:00 including postage & packing. All proceeds will go Great Dane Care.
